Craft breweries are facing a can shortage due to aluminum tariffs, making your sweet sweet short can a casualty. Here's a little "how things are made," featuring a dapper SPA can.
-First, an aluminum blank is punched and shaped into a cup.
-Cans are domed and trimmed and sprayed clean
-Cans are printed or wrapped, then baked to set design
-Shaped at the top, cans are "necked" to fit the size of the lid
-Finally, cans are shipped out to your favorite craft brewery, filled with tasty beer and lids are sealed on top....voila!
Yesterday was peach peeling day for a brew we’re doing with the folks from Guelph Spoken Word. Welly is fortunate to have a pilot system that enables our brew team to collaborate with other breweries and community groups. Folks get the opportunity to participate in the process of recipe development, ingredient sourcing, brewing and packaging- it’s a win-win!
Feels so good to throw a fun party that also makes money for charity! Our donation to @habitatwdg with the help of Riot Axe, goes towards building affordable housing for folks in Wellington County. Kudos to craft breweries that consider their communities, gestures big and small all count!
